We are always fascinated in the feeling of flying in the air. That is why various gadgets are invented to make the same effect. Airplanes for example are created not just to fly; but also to move large distances at a very short time. Without it, people cannot go to such distances without using too much energy and time. There are also some sports or games that were created to provide that kind of euphoria. One of which is skydiving or parachuting. It is genuinely breathtaking experiencing the atmosphere and having the experience of free falling with just gravity pulling you down. Another similar activity like parachuting is paragliding, wherein one sits on a harness with fabric wing tied to it. Several disciplines that are associated also with it are BASE jumping and sky surfing. BASE jumping is basically jumping on a fixed object like a building, cliff or a bridge. Sky surfing on the other hand is like skydiving with a board strap on the legs, much like snowboarding and executing aerobatics on freefall. There are also some recreational activities that one can do over the water; and one is parasailing. A boat will tow a person with parachute and then release the parachute while still on the boat. The person in the parachute will then be braced in the tow while gliding through the atmosphere. Land based parasailing is also being practiced in other parts of the world, as a vehicle will also act like the boat.
